Caitlyn Jenner’s roommate Sophia Hutchins, 25, addresses rumors she’s dating Olympian, 65, after four-year friendship
CAITLYN Jenner’s roommate Sophia Hutchins, 25, addressed the rumors that she’s dating the Olympian, 65, after a five-year friendship.
The two have been spotted together multiple times and have had fans wondering about their bond.
Sophia denied that she and Cailtyn have had a romantic relationship for the last four years in a statement to PEOPLE.
“I don’t want controversy. I am just trying to live my life. Caitlyn is a parent to me,” she told the outlet.
“I have said that a million times. It is a parental, familial relationship. I feel so blessed and humbled to be a part of such an amazing family and that she treats me like a daughter.
“I feel blessed that we are able to work together.”
“There’s no hanky panky. I feel like I’ve been saying that for the past five years,” she added.
The Instagram model was also forced to clear the air on her social media as she shared a tweet that claimed she and Caitlyn – who plans to run for governor of California – have been “together” for years.
She added to the grab: “Fake news! Not a lesbian! F**k off!”
The manager said in a second story: “Love the whole LGBT community but so tired of rumors that I am romantically with Caitlyn.
“I am only ever with men and only ever have been. Stop the rumors! It’s been years.”
Their close friendship comes as Sophia is the political hopeful‘s manager.
Back in November, Sophia was forced to make similar statements as she told fans she was not attracted to Caitlyn at all.
“Well, we are girlfriends, but we’re not like ‘girlfriends’. You know what I mean? We’re very good friends,” she told podcast Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef.
“To me, Caitlyn is like a parent figure, but also now we have business together. So, you know, we work together so it’s interesting. It really is family, that’s the best way to describe it.
“It was never sexual. “
Sophia continued: “I remember I was talking to some reporter in New York at an event and he’s like, ‘I want to do this stuff. I want to do the stylist section. I think this is a huge story.’
“I’m like, how is this a big story that we are not dating? Like, why is there so much attention on this? We aren’t… like, that’s front page of the style section? I don’t think so.
“But anyways, I did the interview because I think it was important to put that out there and put it to rest once and for all.”
