Giovanna Fletcher pictured on a charity trek after claiming £30,000 furlough cash
I’M A Celebrity winner Giovanna Fletcher grimaces as she clutches a set of walking sticks – days after she was slammed for claiming thousands in government furlough money.
The Sun on Sunday told last week how the mum of three, who is worth an estimated £8million together with her popstar husband Tom, had claimed up to £30,000 for her business just weeks after her jungle triumph saw her earning potential skyrocket.
And days after the revelation, the 36-year-old issued a grovelling apology for her “huge error of judgement” – saying the pair had repaid all of the cash they were granted.
In a joint statement, the couple said: “We clearly should have thought more about the situation and funded it ourselves.
“It was a huge error of judgement and a mistake we wholeheartedly take responsibility for and we have paid the full amount back.”
Comments on the Instagram post were turned off.

A HMRC register of claims shows the pair received support shortly after Giovanna triumphed on I’m A Celeb in December.
Her ITV victory in Gwrych Castle in North Wales saw her fortunes rocket as offers, said to be worth up to £4million, rolled in.
Downloads to her podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby, also soared to more than 12 million, boosting her earnings.
