Which countries we view as most friendly to NZ

An interesting poll by the Asia NZ Foundation asking people about 19 countries and if they view them as friendly or a threat. The “net friendly” score is those who said friendly less those who said a threat. The scores in order are:

1. Australia +85%
2. Canada +80%
3. UK +78%
4. Japan +67%
5. Germany +55%
6. Thailand +44%
7. South Korea +42%
8. Philippines +41%
9. India +37%
10. South Africa +37%
11. Vietnam +37%
12. US +30%
13. Indonesia +24%
14. Bangladesh +15%
15. Myanmar +6%
16. China -4%
17. Pakistan -5%
18. Russia -31%
19. North Korea -36%

Somewhat surprised to see Pakistan so low.
