Two youths, posing as prospective tenants, entered a Sector 14 house, tied a 70-year-old woman staying alone to a chair and was about to flee when her son arrived to check on his mother on Friday afternoon. They managed to push aside the son and flee with cash and jewellery on a bike that did not have a number plate.
