Powell: Trendy Brussels sprouts crop up in restaurants and gardens

On a food study tour in Belgium, it was not surprising to be served Brussels sprouts for lunch and dinner. Our taste buds were primed to eat the cruciferous vegetable in the country where, according to history, it was cultivated in the 16th century.
