Bachelorette: Garrett Schwartz's Age, Instagram, Job, Hometown & More
Garret Schwartz is a contestant on season 17 of The Bachelorette, and we have everything there is to know about the contender for Katie Thurston's final rose. Garrett's journey competing for Katie's affection has been lukewarm so far, but his popularity among fans makes him a challenger to keep an eye on. From his ambitious career ventures to his love of dogs, here's everything about Garrett that makes him a "catch" on Katie's season of The Bachelorette.
Garret is 29 years old, a median age for the season 17 cast of bachelors. Garret grew up in Salinas, California, with two sisters but he currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Garett's trek north from Salinas to San Francisco began with his college experience. In 2010, Garett began his studies at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. At Sonoma State, Garett pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition to earning a degree, Garett spent four years playing baseball for the university. Garett also volunteered as a summer camp counselor at Sonoma State University. Garett graduated from Sonoma State with his Bachelor's degree in 2015.
While Garett was completing his studies at Sonoma State University in 2015, the Bachelorette contestant got a head start on his career post-graduation. According to his LinkedIn, Garett's first job before making it onto The Bachelorette's season 17 premiere was at Optio Solutions. Optio is a debt collection service based in Petaluma, California. At Optio, Garett worked as a compliance and quality assurance agent. Although Garett only stayed at the collection company for five months, his temporary assurance role served as a launching pad for his future career enterprises. Immediately after leaving Optio Solutions, Garett started working at Tintri, an IT company with headquarters in Santa Clarita, California. For his first eight months at the company, Garett worked as an inside sales representative. Garett swiftly demonstrated his competency in the company and was promoted before completing his first year at Tintri.
In February 2016, Garett took on more responsibility at the tech company with his promotion to a senior inside sales representative. With this promotion came more work for Garett, including communicating with clients across the nation in states like Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. From Tintri, Garett went to Adobe. At Adobe, Garett has taken on several roles. Initially, Garett worked as an account development manager for Adobe in June 2016. A year and a half later, however, Garett once again demonstrated his strong work ethic and was promoted to product marketing specialist in November 2017. Presently, Garett has five years under his belt at Adobe and works as a product marketing manager.
While work may appear to take up the majority of the bachelor's ambition, Garett's social media does not match the all-work, no-play portrait his LinkedIn profile paints. Garett's Instagram, @garrettschwartz_7, is full of fun memories and demonstrates the side of the Bachelorette competitor fans have taken a liking to. On Instagram, Garett shares his love for dogs. From German shepherds to shaggy dogs, Garett's social media is dominated by K-9s. Garett also celebrates the time he spends with friends on Instagram. While Garett may not be the most-followed man on The Bachelorette, with 3,500 followers, his social media presence is undoubtedly vibrant.
Garett has an uphill battle to Katie's heart, but his background proves he's up to the task. As a resourceful employee, Garett has kept working his way up from college volunteering gigs to management positions at Adobe. Furthermore, Garett's personal life is balanced with quality dog and friend time. While Garett continues to woo The Bachelorette's fanbase, the jury is still out on Katie.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
