The Nationals have a 2-1 series lead over the Mets as the two clubs close out their series today at Nationals Park in Washington. It will be Taijuan Walker (6-2, 2.12 ERA) getting the start for the Mets against Patrick Corbin (4-5, 5.60 ERA) for the Nationals.

Michael Mayer of Metsmerized reported Dellin Betances’ rehab appearance on Saturday for the St. Lucie Mets who were playing the Jupiter Hammerheads in Jupiter. Betances’ final line: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 SO. His fastball continued to average around 93 MPH, and topped out on Saturday night at 94 MPH.

Michael Mayer of Metsmerized also reported on Saturday that outfielder Albert Almora Jr. has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list and left-handed pitcher Joey Lucchesi has been placed on the 10-day injured list with left elbow inflammation.

Rays Communications announced on Saturday that the Tampa Bay Rays have recalled right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen from Triple-A Durham.

Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reported that Justin Dunn has a shoulder strain and will be shut down for at least two weeks. Dunn is not expected to need surgery as their appears to be no structural damage to the shoulder.

According to Dennis Lin of The Athletic, Fernando Tatis Jr. exited Saturday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds early after diving for a ground ball. He was slow to get up and appeared to exit with an apparent shoulder injury.
