Woman found dead after fire rips through her home

A woman has died after a fire ripped through her home.

Investigations are under way after police were called to the blaze in Flintshire, North Wales, at 1.30am.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene on Moor Lane in Holywell.

Officers said she was the only person inside the property.

A police spokesman said: ‘A joint investigation between North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police is now under way to establish what happened.

‘Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family at this difficult time.’
