TURKEY have crashed out of Euro 2020 after Xherdan Shaqiri’s spectacular double helped ensure Switzerland’s victory.
Fancied by many as the tournament’s ‘dark horse’, they fell behind on six minutes through Haris Seferovic’s left-footed strike in Baku.

Despite his heroics, it will now be a nervous wait for the Swiss after they missed out on second spot despite Wales’ 1-0 defeat against Italy.
Both teams finished on four points but Wales booked their qualification to the knockouts with a better goal difference.
Turkey are the second team to crash out of the tournament after North Macedonia.
