‘I voted for secure Armenia’: Prosperous Armenia leader rules out coalition plans with Pashinyan
The opposition Prosperous Armenia party’s leader rules out any chances forming a coalition government with Nikol Pashinyan in case of the incumbent prime minister’s victory in today’s snap parliamentary election.
“I rule out such plans - as I have repeatedly stated,” he told reporters after performing his civic duty in a polling station of Arinj (Kotayk region).
Asked whether he is ready to take to the streets in case of dissatisfaction with the election outcome, the politician said he sees absolutely no reason for future anger or discontent. “What am I supposed to do if the people themselves did not have the willingness to vote [for our political party]?” he asked.
But Tsarukyan refrained from any comments on coalition plans with second President Robert Kocharyan’s Armenia Alliance.
