Mountain Goat Away Days
New Ride Option
This Saturday (19th June) a small testing team went out to Skipton by train to test a new gentle goat route to Bolton by Bowland. The route was delightful, tiny back roads, and very little traffic. The resurfaced canal between Skipton and Gargrave made this route easy to access using the train, cycling to Skipton or driving over.
The photos were taken by club member Raymond Gay – thanks!!
Ride hosted and mapped by Christine Bell.
The details including cafe stop options are all in the map.

NEXT RIDES
We have an evening ride on Wednesday, leaving Otley at 19.00. This will be an easy climbing route up to Asquith Moor and Snowden Carr – short and fun! If you need to stop it is fine, there are lovely views. If you want to sprint to the top, just take some photos for us to enjoy later!
On Saturday we are meeting in Grassington for an away day ride. It will be a challenging day with 2 big climbs, but we will be taking it at a relaxed pace. We plan to take the whole day, and maybe two cafe stops. If you love hills and are happy to ride in a sociable mixed ability group then come and enjoy the day out.
Just remember our rules: first to top takes photos and waits for us and NO moaning!
To sign onto the rides, add your name to the sign-up sheet available to members via our Facebook Group or use the club emails.
