Jellystone Trailer Gives Yogi Bear & Boo-Boo a Modern Update
The trailer for the upcoming HBO Max series Jellystone! shows just how different Yogi Bear and his friends will look from the original Yogi Bear series. Yogi Bear is a renowned character from Hanna-Barbera Productions who has appeared in numerous comic books, TV series, and specials. The Yogi Bear Show premiered in 1961 followed up by Yogi Bear & Friends in 1967. His legacy continued all the way up to his Yo Yogi! series in 1991. Now, Yogi and his friends are being resurrected for Jellystone!.
HBO Max Family uploaded a trailer for Jellystone! which showed off how much Yogi Bear and Boo Boo have changed. Jellystone! has a different animation style than any of the prior Yogi Bear productions. Not only has the animation been updated, but Yogi Bear will cover new territory living in the Jellystone township. The prior series took place in Jellystone Park, a replica of Yellowstone. However, in the Jellystone! trailer, Yogi Bear and his friends will have to adapt to suburban living. Check out the trailer below:
The trailer paints the town of Jellystone as a picturesque, harmonious place. However, once Yogi Bear and his friends arrive, chaos ensues. Yogi Bear and his gang will try their best to adapt to this new lifestyle. Yogi will try to find his place in Jellystone as he tries out different careers that range from doctor to astronaut. They'll also adjust to suburban needs like grocery store shopping and visit bowling alleys frequently as well. Jellystone! hits HBO Max on July 29.
In Jellystone!, viewers travel to a magical town and meet new and old friends, including Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Boo Boo, and Huckleberry Hound…and Jabberjaw and Top Cat and Snagglepuss and El Kabong and Wally Gator and Johnny Quest and Hadji and Shag Rugg and Captain Caveman and a whole lot more.
