Park Slope block named for Brooklyn-born Pete Hamill, legendary NYC author and journalist

Hamill’s friends and family descended on the stretch of Seventh Ave. between 11 St. and 12th St., a leafy store-lined stretch in the once-hardscrabble neighborhood, to take part in the unveiling of a sign carrying three words: “Pete Hamill Way.”
