Edgewell Personal: Fiscal Q3 Earnings Snapshot

SHELTON, Conn. (AP) _ Edgewell Personal Care Co. (EPC) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $40.8 million.

The Shelton, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 74 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and pretax expenses, were 89 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 80 cents per share.

The consumer products maker posted revenue of $573.7 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $539.4 million.

Edgewell Personal expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.80 to $2.90 per share.

Edgewell Personal shares have climbed 19% since the beginning of the year.
