NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms will extend along a cold front from
the Northeast across the Ohio River Valley into the southern
Plains tomorrow, some with downpours across parts of
Kentucky and West Virginia. It will be mainly dry across the
Southeast and Deep South with only a scattering of
thunderstorms along the northern Gulf coast. It will be cool
and showery around the Upper Midwest, especially across
northern Michigan and northern Wisconsin. Aside from a few,
mainly morning, showers along the Washington coast and in
the Cascades, it will be warm and dry across the Pacific
Northwest. The West is expected to get no relief from
wildfires and poor air quality. Much of the Southwest will
be hot and dry, but a few thunderstorms may develop over
parts of New Mexico and West Texas.
