Shooting kills one man, injures another in St. Louis suburb

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting in a St. Louis suburb that left one man dead and another man injured.

University City police said officers found two men who had been shot in the 7800 block of Birchmont Drive after the shooting was reported around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Both men were taken to a hospital where a 24-year-old man died. Police said an 18-year-old man was in stable condition at the hospital.

Police did not immediately release the victims' names or any additional details about the shooting.
