Global 'collateral damage' as 300,000 await heart treatment after having Covid
AN URGENT recovery plan for cardiac services is required after research outlined the global "collateral damage" of the Covid-19 pandemic on heart health. The British Heart Foundation stressed that an international study - revealing dramatic drops in hospital cases for heart attacks around the world - is evidence of the pressure on such care in this country, with more than 300,000 waiting for treatment.
