Trump Tower Chicago tragedy after man jumps to his death from 16th floor
The Trump Tower in Chicago experienced a tragedy after a man jumped to his death from the 16th floor.
Police said the man, in his late 40s, appeared to jump from the 16th floor of the tower on June 1, 2022, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The incident took place at Trump International Hotel and Tower late Wednesday morning, police said.
Chicago police said the man took the fatal plunge out of the tower at 401 North Wabash Avenue.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said paramedics arrived at 11.45am on the east side of the building.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Kellie Bartoli, the man – who has not yet been identified – was believed to be between the ages of 45 and 50, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Bartoli said the incident was an apparent suicide, as per the report.
A police investigation of the man’s death is underway.
An autopsy will be performed by the Cook County medical examiner’s office and results are pending.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago is 98 stories tall.
Located on the 16th floor of the building is Terrace 16, a stylish American rooftop restaurant and bar.
