The recent Auditor General’s report on backlogs in disability benefits to veterans revealed a number of shocking details. Not only has the backlog continued to result in excessive wait times for veterans in need of support. But it showed that Veterans Affairs Canada has no real plan to fix the problem. And nothing it has done for the last two years has made any difference to the wait times of the lives of veterans and their families. In fact, they have made a bad situation even worse.
