Dufty has been playing in the reserves for the last 5-6 weeks and might not get back in the first team.
I guess a lot depends on what he’s prepared to accept for a salary. He’s on £200k in the NRL, and while we can no doubt afford to offer a bit more than that, maybe we don’t think it’ll be a good return on investment. I can imagine if he turns out to be another dud on a massive wage it would upset the rest of the squad, and prove we haven’t learned a thing over the past 10 years. Still, at the right price, even on a one year contract, he could be handy.
