Siena gets life, basketball lessons out of Italy trip

Siena ran into competition that got harder as the trip continued: a 45-point win over Stella Azzurri on Aug. 20, a four-point victory over Pallacanestro Crema last Friday and a 29-point loss to UCC Assigeco Piacenza a day later. Maciariello pointed out the blowout defeat was on the second day of a back-to-back and Siena didn't scout Piacenza because he wanted his players to make adjustments on the fly.
