[Football] Saturday's Football Game with George Mason Has Been Postponed
As can happen with small college athletics, especially small college football, schedule changes can occur at the drop of a hat. Such is the case with this Saturday's football game at George Mason. Due to a lack of healthy players, George Mason was forced to postpone this Saturday's game against Williamson. Fortunately for Williamson, all was not lost, as the game will now be played at George Mason on Saturday, October 22. That date became available for Williamson when the New Jersey Gators, one of just two losses for Williamson last year, canceled their season.
"We were left scrambling when Mason told us they would not be able to play this week. They lost a bunch of players to injury last week, including both quarterbacks, so their administration would not let them play this week. Thankfully though, the only open date we had to play was the only open date they had to play, October 22, so we will head down there then," explained Williamson director of athletics Dale Plummer.
Williamson next plays at home on September 24 against CAPP Football Academy in a 12:00 P.M. start.
