NATIONAL SUMMARY

As a slow-moving storm system lingers in the Northeast,

occasional light rain will continue. In portions of West

Virginia and Pennsylvania, snow will mix in at times;

however, little to no accumulation is expected. Across the

eastern two-thirds of the country, temperatures are likely

to be well below normal, with high temperatures over 20

degrees Fahrenheit below average in some spots. Aside from

the Northeast and a few showers and thunderstorms in South

Florida, dry conditions are expected across the country.

Warm weather will remain in place in the Pacific Northwest,

with ongoing wildfires continuing to spread smoke and poor

air quality along the coast ahead of an approaching storm

system.
