Siena, UAlbany men's basketball revive Albany Cup rivalry
The rivalry was discontinued after 2017 because the sides couldn't agree on where to play the game. But they came to terms last January on a three-year contract that will start with Saturday's contest, followed by a game at UAlbany's SEFCU Arena in 2024 and a return in 2025 to MVP Arena for a Siena home game.
Saturday's game is considered a neutral-site game with a split house. There were 7,790 tickets sold as of Friday afternoon, according to a Siena spokesman.
