...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Galveston and Harris.
* WHEN...Until 215 PM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1211 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 3 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Areas in Deer Park and Pasadena have reported water on
roadways. Flood waters may take a while to recede. Any
additional rainfall in these areas could warrant the issuance
of a Flash Flood Warning.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Northern Pasadena, northwestern Baytown, northern
Friendswood, Deer Park, Clear Lake, Channelview, South Belt /
Ellington, Highlands, San Jacinto State Park, northeastern
Houston Ship Channel and Ellington Field.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
