...BLACK ICE LIKELY ON ROADWAYS IN PARTS OF SUFFOLK COUNTY EARLY

THIS MORNING...

An onshore flow of moist maritime air over cold ground has

resulted in the development of fog mainly in and near pine

barrens and south shore areas of Suffolk County, where air

temperatures are at or below freezing, and ground temperatures

are likely a little colder. Black ice is likely to develop and

cause hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution when

driving early this morning. These conditions should improve

between 8 AM and 9 AM as temperatures rise.
