DEAR DEIDRE: THERE’S only one boy in the world I like, my brother’s best mate, but I know my big brother won’t approve of us having a relationship.
I’m 16 and the boy of my dreams is 18, like my brother.
Guys my age are immature and stupid.
My brother’s friend is lovely, kind and funny as well as fit. I’m pretty sure he feels the same way about me.
However, my brother doesn’t even like it if I talk to him.

Talk to your brother and see if he’ll give his blessing. Perhaps he’s protecting you.
Don’t cut yourself off from meeting other boys who might suit you.
