1 killed, 3 injured in Bronx shooting: NYPD

TREMONT, the Bronx (PIX11) – A man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting in the Bronx Friday afternoon, police said.

The shooting happened near East Tremont and Hughes avenues around 2:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

It appears that a dispute started inside a Popeyes restaurant and spilled out onto the street where the shooting occurred, police said.

A 24-year-old man died after he was hospitalized in critical condition, police said. Another man was also hospitalized in critical condition. A 58-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.

One person of interest has been taken into custody.
