I’m a size 14 and 200lbs – I was excited to try a new set from Walmart but it was made for an ‘unrealistic body type’
A PLUS-SIZE woman has shared her disappointment over the fit of a matching set from Walmart.
She tried on the outfit in a TikTok video, where she said that it was made for an “unrealistic body type.”
Rachel Power (@life_with_rachel__) is a midsize content creator who shares shopping hauls, beauty reviews, makeup tips, and more.
The self-described “midsize bestie” is transparent about her size and measurements by putting her height and weight in her TikTok bio.
Coming in at 5-foot-3, 200 pounds, and a size 14/16, she documented how she felt before and after she tried on a cute Walmart set that caught her attention while shopping.
At first, the curvy woman was excited, but, by the end of the TikTok video, she felt something completely different.
When the video began, Rachel stood in a Walmart dressing room as she held a hanger holding the matching top and bottoms.
The blonde woman wore a stylish pink graphic crewneck sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and white sneakers.
“I saw this at Walmart the other day, and I really wanted to see what it looked like on a size 14,” she said in a voiceover.
The co-ord fashion items left little to the imagination and appeared to not flatter her figure.
“I was really excited, but I’m pretty sure this is made for an unrealistic body because this is not cute,” the voiceover said as the video came to a close.
Some people were appreciative of her shopping advice, while others offered some feedback of their own.
“Immediately I followed because you are so relatable and I need good outfit inspo and confidence to wear it!!” one viewer commented.
“With a bra and a different print, it’d probably be fine. Not everything is for every body type & there’s not really such a thing as an ‘unrealistic body,'” a TikTok user chimed in.
“I tried this on. It was a no,” another bluntly added.
“What size did you get love? I feel like the size up too would look so good on you!!” a fan wrote.
