I didn’t wash for three days – at least I’m saving money on the water bills, says EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy
EASTENDERS actress Natalie Cassidy has admitted she went three days without showering – and saved money on her water bills.
The TV star, who is mum to daughters Eliza, 11, and Joanie, six, said she had been unwell and hadn’t felt in the mood to strip off for a wash.
Natalie, 39, told her Instagram followers today: “You know I’ve always said I’ll be honest on here, so here goes.
“I just realised, when drying my hair, that the last time I had a shower and washed my hair was Saturday.
“I’m the worst mum for saying “You’ve gotta have a shower Eliza, don’t be soapy, get upstairs. You’ve got to have a shower everyday, it’s really important.
“But Saturday to Tuesday? Now, hear me out.”
Soap star Natalie then explained how her weekend had panned out, and said: “Saturday, I had my hair coloured and then I got in the shower, that was about four o’clock.
“Sunday, I had a house full, very busy. Yesterday, I was really, really ill.
“And then this morning, got up, had the kids. Done stuff in the house and had a shower.
“How bad is that though? When you’re not well you don’t fancy it do ya?”
The star captioned her video with a note to say that her illness had thankfully passed.
She said she was “keeping it real”, and penned: “Had to tell you this one.
“Terrible really but yesterday was a write off and I’ve been busy this morning. Feel a lot better.
“Not suprising having had a wash. My daughter would kill me if she knew. #truth #keepingitreal #feelinggood #waterbillsaving #showergelsfull”
Despite her concerns, many fans said that they didn’t see anything wrong in her confession.
One replied to her post: “Absolutely don’t beat yourself over it! Saving water is good for the planet and your pocket! Win win, I say! Xx”
Another said: “I most definitely DONT shower/bathe every day. Nor do I encourage the kids to! Every other day is perfectly fine.”
And a third typed: “I used to shower every day, now it’s about twice a week (if that to be honest!). Saves water and I’m not exactly digging the roads or on a building site …no guilt.”
And a fourth said: “No I don’t think that’s too horrendous. If it was middle of summer and really warm then yeah that’s not great but February? Nah your fine”
It comes after Natalie revealed her yearly salary for playing Sonia on EastEnders.
