...FLOOD WARNING FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER

NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is

forecast.

* WHERE...Schroon River At Riverbank.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Water reaches moderate flood stage. Water

surrounds several homes on Schroon River Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 11:31 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 7.7 feet.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

ending at 11:31 AM EDT Sunday was 7.7 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.7

feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 8.0 feet Wednesday

morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

8.0 feet on 04/27/1970.
