...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.
* WHERE...Portions of North Central and Northeast Washington,
including the following counties, in North Central Washington,
Okanogan. In Northeast Washington, Ferry.
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM PDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...River or stream flows are elevated. Some low-water
crossings may be impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1025 AM PDT, gauge reports indicated that creeks and small
streams are running high in the advisory area.
- In Ferry county, high flows were observed on the Sandpoil
River and the tributaries of the Kettle River.
- In Okanogan, high flows were observed on Bonaparte Creek near
Tonasket, Chewuch River near Winthrop, Nine Mile Creek near
Oroville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Campers and hikers should avoid streams and creeks. River banks and
culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Flood water from mountain
snowmelt is cold and dangerous. Entering this fast flowing water can
cause cold water shock leading to loss of muscle function and onset
of hypothermia.
