Authorities are searching for a missing 8-year-old boy in the rugged terrain of a northern Michigan state park. The boy was camping with family in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in the western Upper Peninsula when he disappeared Saturday afternoon. The boy's mother says searchers are doing a great job but need more time. She says the “terrain is very rough.” The boy is a student in the Hurley School District in Hurley, Wisconsin. The district is advising the community to stay away from the area, though volunteers are willing to help if asked.
