_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The storm responsible for soaking rain and locally severe
thunderstorms in the Northeast at midweek will exit by way
of eastern New England today. A new batch of clouds and rain
will pivot southeastward across the Great Lakes region.
Gusty thunderstorms may erupt on the leading edge of the
rain; otherwise, much of the Midwest and Northeast will
remain cool for mid-June. Severe thunderstorms will again
pester the Southeast, but they will focus mainly near
Interstate 10. Locally severe thunderstorms are likely to
erupt from Utah to Wyoming and the Dakotas as a cool front
moves in and slows down. Extreme heat will continue to build
over Texas with more storms likely to erupt late this week
over parts of the South Central states. Much of the Pacific
Coast states can expect a dry day.
