Sausalito man, 71, shot during robbery attempt, police report

A 71-year-old Sausalito man was shot during an attempted robbery in San Francisco, police said.

The crime happened at about 12:25 a.m. Saturday on Filbert Street near Fillmore Street in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Two robbers fled after the shooting.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Deputy Chief Raj Vaswani said.

The investigation continued Sunday.
