US states sue Washington, seek strict wood-burning stove standards
WASHINGTON D.C.: The attorneys-general from 10 states plan to sue the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), claiming it has failed to review and ensure emissions standards for residential wood-burning stoves.
This failure has allowed the continued sale of appliances that could worsen pollution, they added.
The states that issued a 60-day notice of intent to sue are Alaska, Illinois, Maryland, Massachu
