This Morning fans slam Holly Willoughby for ‘sympathising’ with Just Stop Oil activists

FANS took aim at Holly Willoughby yesterday after she appeared to sympathise with Just Stop Oil activists.

The This Morning presenter sparked a furious backlash after she said global temperatures were worrying her too.

It came just days after she and her husband took a helicopter from London to Glastonbury festival to join 200,000 other revellers – rather than get the train.

In a discussion with LBC‘s Nick Ferrari about the eco protestors who have wrecked events at Wimbledon and Lords, the telly star said “‘But then you look, we had the hottest day globally on record… you know? I mean, it’s…”

LBC star Nick argued it wasn’t down to the spectators to change government policy, and it just ruined their day.

He said: “We have got a massive problem. Those spectators, what are they meant to do? All that has happened is their afternoon has been disrupted.

“We don’t make the decisions, so what are we going to do? You disrupt the cricket, the rugby…”

Holly said: “I know, I understand.

“But I guess their hope is that someone higher up will start to make a difference…. I don’t know the answer.”

But viewers dubbed her a hypocrite for not practising what she preaches.

One wrote: “Holly saying she understands Just Stop Oil because of the climate crisis but happy to take a helicopter to Glastonbury, hypercritical sanctimonious tripe.”

Another added: “they are laughing at us all.”
