"On 30 June 2023 the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) received intimation from the Income Tax department withdrawing its Tax exemption Status under Section 12A of the IT Act, 1961," CPR said in a statement. In September last year, the Income-Tax Department conducted searches at the premises of the institute located near Malcha Marg in central Delhi.
