SpiceJet, a cash-strapped airline in India, experienced the highest number of flight disruptions among Indian carriers in May. Only 61% of SpiceJet's flights departed on time from the country's major airports, down from almost 70% in April. The post-pandemic travel surge and the closure of Go Airlines India added to the challenges faced by airlines in meeting the increased demand.
