The 14 member countries[1] in the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), launched by the United States in 2022, achieved a significant milestone in May 2023, when they reached the substantial conclusion of negotiations on IPEF’s second pillar: strengthening the resilience of supply chains.
