A petition has been filed in Pakistan's Supreme Court calling for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party's dissolution, citing its leader Imran Khan's involvement in the violence on 9 May. Awn Chaudhry, a former ally of Khan and now part of a newly formed party, has claimed in the petition that it is not just the basic human rights, but also the Constitution, that Khan and his PTI have violated as well as making "hate speeches attacking the judiciary [and] defence".
