Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced five key poll 'guarantees' that include providing free bus travel for women and 200 units of free electricity, among other things. The announcement arrived ahead of a budget presentation that boasted of an outlay of over Rs 3.27 lakh crore for 2023-2024, of which Rs 52,000 crore of which will be spent to make good on these promises.
