At least 18 people died as rains continued to lash parts of the Panjab province in Pakistan on Thursday.
Meanwhile, according to the disaster management agency of Pakistan, on Friday, at least 50 people died, and over 87 others were injured. At the same time, several residential houses were damaged in the past few days.
Compared to Wednesday, Lahore experienced almost little rain, with the bulk of the 16 WASA monitoring stations recording single-digit rainfall, according to Dawn. Four more fatalities were recorded in the provincial capital, bringing the total to 12 over the previous two days.
Meanwhile, the provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) said that at least six people died in Gujranwala.
Meanwhile, local media outlets reported three fatalities in Gujranwala, Chakwal, and Sheikhupura. Jhang reported one death, and Faisalabad reported another. In addition, 32 of the 49 injured victims had severe injuries. On Thursday, it rained in 13 different province districts.

Pre-monsoon rains started in the last week of June and have persisted intermittently across the country, causing flooding in Balochistan province and disrupting traffic on the province’s roadways.
“We have issued directives to all deputy commissioners about the possible damages due to flash floods in seasonal streams and rivers and have sent necessary relief goods to immediately provide relief,” according to the provincial official of Balochistan.
