Tsitsipas’ girlfriend Paula Badosa appears to SNUB his Wimbledon match as he crashes out to unseeded American
PAULA BADOSA appeared to be in Madrid as her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas fell to Christopher Eubanks at Wimbledon.
The loved-up couple were a feature of the first week of the Championships, both taking to the turf at SW19.
Badosa won her first round clash 6-3, 6-3 against Alison Riske-Amritraj in what was her first match since sustaining a spinal injury in May.
She immediately hot-footed it from her match to No.2 Court, where Tsitsipas was taking on Dominic Thiem in a dramatic first round fifth set.
The former world No2 was forced to retire from her second round clash with Marta Kostyuk with another injury on Friday, before heading to the resumption of Tsitsipas’ epic clash with Andy Murray.
Badosa helped cheer her man to victory, although her injury forced them to pull out of the mixed doubles, in which they had been entered to play together.
Tsitsipas subsequently booked his place in round four by beating Laslo Djere, before the couple enjoyed a steak dinner at Salt Bae’s restaurant.
One week in London appeared to be enough for Badosa, however, as she posted from Madrid on her Instagram story this afternoon.
She posted a selfie from the back of her car, as Tsitsipas was engaged in a five-set battle with Eubanks.
The Greek was backed in his box by father and coach Apostolos, brother Petros and mother Julia.

But it wasn’t enough, as he fell 6-4 in the fifth to big-serving revelation Eubanks.
Due to rain delays, Tsitsipas has been forced to play on seven consecutive days at Wimbledon.
Alongside brother Petros, he fell in the men’s doubles yesterday to Arthur Fils and Luca Van Assche.
Having played so frequently throughout the tournament thus far, Tsitsipas was relieved that he was no longer entered in the mixed doubles draw.
He said: “Mixed is not a thing anymore, thank God. I prefer to live.
“It never crossed my mind that I would be doing all three in a single event, but I also see it from the bright side. You like tennis so much, you want to be in these Slams for as long as possible.
“You want to challenge yourself in singles, doubles, mixed doubles. I personally like mixed doubles.”
Last week, Badosa revealed that she had a dream about Tsitsipas before they were together.
She cheekily admitted: “Well, I was injured in Australia. I watched his match, the final.
“Of course I had jet lag because I was in Spain. I decided to watch that match.
“Surprising, because I never dream about tennis players, but I dreamt about him that night, that we were both winning Australian Open.
“Then it was like we were having a very romantic moment, but I’m not going to explain. I’m just going to leave it there.”
