Year after year, Amazon offers Prime members a chance to earn promotional credits ahead of Amazon Prime Day. This year is no different, and shoppers can now secure some savings before the deal holiday officially kicks off on July 11. These credits are effectively free cash to spend exclusively on all the best Prime Day deals

For previous Prime Days, we saw over $200 in available credits for shoppers to earn across several different promotions. As of writing, there's only one active promotion to get credit this time around, but it's worth cashing in on.

Right now, you can earn a $5 promo credit to spend on Prime Day when you buy a $50 Amazon gift card. More opportunities for Prime Day credits could pop up during the sale, so be sure to check back for updates.

Here's how to earn Prime Day credits in 2023:

Get $5 when you buy a $50 Amazon eGift Card
Amazon Gift Cards can be used to purchase anything you'd normally buy on Amazon.

Now through July 10, you can earn a $5 Prime Day credit by buying a $50 Amazon eGift Card. Make sure to buy it by activating the offer on this landing page, or else you may not have the promotion added to your account.

Though it may seem like a hefty price to pay for a $5 bonus, if you're already planning on spending money this Prime Day, you can simply use the eGift Card when shopping. The $50 will go toward whatever you were going to buy anyway, and you'll have a sweet $5 discount. It's free money, but only if you're a regular Amazon shopper.
