The finance ministry portfolio is expected to be given to Ajit Pawar, NCP leader and Deputy Chief Minister. Shiv Sena MLAs have expressed displeasure over NCP's induction into the government, believing that NCP would play a dominant role as they did during the last tenure. This has led to a strain in the political relationship between the parties.
