Utilities can't shut off gas, electric for certain customers, PUCO says

COLUMBUS — The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio said the state’s investor-owned electric and gas utilities won’t disconnect customers who aren’t paying as long as the customer has a pending application for an energy-assistance program.
