The club have already signed Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino and Edouard Mendy this summer, and want the Portuguese tactician to join their ranks.

It’s been reported that Silva’s representatives are in London to meet with Saudi officials.

Silva has just 12 months remaining on his contract, which includes a £6million release clause.

If triggered, Fulham will lose their manager just three weeks before their opening top-flight clash against Everton at Goodison Park.

The 46-year-old is currently on his way to the United States for Fulham’s pre-season fixtures with Brentford, Aston Villa and Chelsea.

A record-breaking 14 top-flight bosses were either sacked or left their positions in 2023-23, with Bournemouth axing Scott Parker just four matches into the season.

There have been previous instances of managers leaving in the summer — most notably when Tony Pulis departed Crystal Palace two days before start of new season.

Wolves’ Julen Lopetegui was favourite but has drifted to 7/1 with Sky Bet.

Lopetegui’s future was considered uncertain earlier this summer after the Spaniard raised concerns over Wolves’ Financial Fair Play issues and transfer budget.

He’s since reaffirmed his commitment to the club despite the departures of Ruben Neves, Nathan Collins, Conor Coady, Joao Moutinho and Adama Traore – while only Boubacar Traore and Matheus Cunha have arrived.

Paul Heckingbottom is available at 9/1.

The Barnsley-born manager helped Sheffield United achieve promotion from the Championship but has lost seven of his only ten fixtures as a Premier League boss.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper is also priced at 9/1.

Cooper, 43, guided the club to a 16th-placed position despite being considered ‘on the brink’ several times under notoriously trigger-happy owner Evangelos Marinakis.
