Four people have been arrested after a video of two women being sexually assaulted and paraded naked in Imphal went viral. The National Commission for Women has taken cognizance of the incident and Manipur Chief Minister NBiren Singh suggested the perpetrators deserve capital punishment. Thousands of people participated in a protest demanding action against the culprits and a separate administration in Churachandpur.
