I transformed a truck into my dream home on a budget… I’ve got everything & my bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever had
FED up of his nine to five job and lifestyle, this man decided to leave it all behind to live full time in a truck.
Lace quit his job and converted the old truck into his dream home on a budget.
Now the space has everything he could ever need – even if he does have to shower outside.
He showed his pad off to Tiny Home Tours to explain how he makes to tiny space work for him.
“I ended up selling everything I own, I put it on Facebook Marketplace and then built this camper,” he explained.
And although he admits the lifestyle “does come with trials and errors” there’s still “a lot to be learnt” in the meantime.
Lance’s kitchen is tiny but he’s added a few savvy design features to make the most of the space.
This includes a fold out chopping board, where he also can sit to eat his meals.
He cut costs by getting whatever he could from bargain shops or second hand.
The tap for the sink is on a long hose, which he can point out of the window and use to shower as well.
The living room in the truck is equally as small, but there’s just enough room for Lance to paint, so it doesn’t bother him too much.
Impressively, the DIY whizz says his bed on board the truck is the comfiest he’s ever had.
“This is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in my life. So this tiny home is working great because I’m getting great sleep,” he raved.
His advice for anyone thinking of doing the same thing? Take your time.
“Take some time to plan your layout a little bit because everything’s got to have it’s place.
“You’re living in 75 sq ft of room that’s going to be your home, you want to make sure everything fits well and it’s secured properly so you can live a little bit more comfortably.”
